No sane person should trust the Turks with their sordid and bloody history. And no the Turks would not want to see a Kurdish state created but I would add here the Kurds should understand that neither the West nor the US care about the creation of a Kurdish state either not back then and for sure not now

Yes it was written in 1998 but it still is very good reading.

I recall one of my professors who was Kurdish telling me that he has no doubt that if the Ottoman Empire did not end the next ethnic group on the agenda of the Turks for one more genocide would have been the Kurds and I believe him

As for the Iranians do not forget that Iranian culture is very inclusive which is the exact opposite of the very insecure Turkish culture
