Obama needs authorization for war on ISIS in time for a Valentine gift to the Mullahs...

Related somewhat to ISIS. There seems to be strong bipartisan interest in taking on ISIS. I take the stance I think you have taken in the past - letting these parties fight it out since the enemy of my enemy isn't necessarily my friend. Talking of enemies brings me to the issue of Iran, the 800 lb gorilla intervention proponents usually fail to mention when discussing the urgency of intervention against ISIS. No doubt there is tremendous human tragedy in Iraq and Syria.

We have done despicably little to defend Christians and other minorities under onslaught by ISIS. But few talking heads bring up that Syria and Iraq are now essentially Iranian vassals. We hear of the coalition against ISIS involving Sunni states without acknowledgement that the real ground forces are Hezbollah an IRG. Of course the sensible thing to do (therefore what Obama is loath to do) would be to arm our natural allies the Kurds so they can protect themselves. What the are Obama's priorities? We aren't arming our allies but Obama now needs authorization to engage ISIS.

I could only imagine this authorization would be for Obama to , like a kitten, drop one more present at the doorstep of his favorite Ayatollahs. At least that seems like Obama to me. Any more plausible idea why Obama, Mr. cross my red lines - please!! who watches 100's of thousands die in this chaos, now seeks this authorization?
