Lobbyists for HatredReader comment on item: CAIR's Hate Crimes Nonsense Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), May 18, 2005 at 22:09 I wouldn't believe CAIR's declararations of peace and brotherhood if they stood on a stack of burning Qu'rans. Can we ever forget that following September 11th on every every news network and/or news show there was a represetative from CAIR, pontificating about the "religion of peace." The representative never answered questions with qualifying the answers with "Remember, Islam is the Religion of Peace." When queried about September 11th, the CAIR rep said Islam condemns "acts" of violence such as this but American has to examine its foreign policy. American has to examine its relationship to Israel. America's foreign pollicy breeds hatred in the Middle East. Their affiliation with Israel creates dissension in the Middle East. The "buts" went on ad infinitum and ad nauseum, As Dr. Pipes pointed out a long time ago, it is the "buts" of the condemnation, the qualifications of said statement that dominate the statement not the condemnation. On and on CAIR pontificated going so far as to single out Dr. Pipes as an Islamophobe, whatever that was supposed to mean. Their hatred was palpable as they lobbied and smeared and castigated Dr. Pipes whose life's work was about scholarship and teaching. It was the most disgusting display of hatred I have ever witnessed. Dr. Pipes survived their insidious ad hominem attacks and further to this his appointment to the US Institute for Peace was a victory for freedom and a defeat for CAIR. We don't see so much of CAIR anymore blathering this that or the other thing. Maybe it was their repetitious answers to questions that finally defeated them. How many times can a viewer listen to the same stupid mantras to every question? All we heard was "but this, but that and but every other thing." CAIR is an enemy of free speech and scholarship. They are the touters and bell ringers for totalitarianism and oppression and terrorism. I suppose it pays well.
