How about the very old Christian communities? Turkey in 1915 and and Da'ish in 2015Reader comment on item: Syria's Civil War Could Stabilize Its Region Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Feb 26, 2015 at 13:48 Dr Pipes you wrote leading to an exodus of non-Sunnis (especially Shi'is and Yazidis), How about the very old Christian communities in not just the Nineveh plains but also in Eastern Syria? They were also expelled by Da'ish and in recent reports more than 200 Assyrians from Eastern Syria were captured by the criminal members of Da'ish What is most amazing is that what is happening today in Syria and Iraq, Da'ish brutalizing, raping, mudering and expelling these minorities minus the Shia is not any different from what the criminal Turks did to the same minorities only 100 years ago I guess Plus ca change plus c'est la meme chose and so much for the religion of peace
