Arabic drives anti-modern thinking, certainly anti-liberal thinking

Reader comment on item: The Arabist and Islamist Baggage of Arabic Language Instruction

The French experience in Algeria - - BEFORE they fled back to Europe -- is illustrative. Arabic actually changes the brain -- how it's wired. No-one whose first language, when Arabic, could graduate in any of the technical degrees: Chemistry Physics Math Medicine To understand the modern world, one simply has to leave Arabic behind. Its poverty of expression is suited towards stasis. Islam, itself, is so empty of economic reason -- beyond brigandage -- that Islamism has taken its place. Wherein: Islamism = Islam + Communism. Though scarcely ever quoted in the Western press, the current breed of Islamists spout Communist/ Bolshevik economic theories at the exact same time as they thump for Islamit theology.

Since Bolshevik economics/ hyper-Socialism is not controversial -- not deemed NEWS -- the Western press simply edits out all such Islamist screeds. When you go to the original agitprop sources, you find that the New (Islamist) World is intended to be an Islamic clone of either Stalinism or Maoism. Some screeds read as if they were published, yesterday, from Berkeley, California... complete cut & paste jobs... not an original thought in their heads. With this appreciation, it becomes possible to understand why raging Leftists at Berkeley march hand in hand with Islamic fanatics -- at just about every confab. You can see the odd pairings at Zombietime http://zombietime.com/sf_anti-war_rally_3-20-2010/

The above ^^^ is just a slice of the pie. Without Bolshevism/ Moscow funding virtually the entire 'modern' era of Arabism would not have been seeded. Islamofascism is, consequently, an inappropriate label; whereas Islamism -- the marriage of the ultimate odd couple -- rings out. (Some will aver that Communism/ Bolshevism is atheistic. The counter-argument is that Power its its god... How else to explain the ritual idolatry of the BIg Man -- from Lenin, to Stalin, to Mao, to ... et. al.?)
