If only Mr. Pipes had said the followingReader comment on item: Iran vs. Israel: Who's Making the Threats? Submitted by Gamaliel (United States), May 22, 2015 at 13:02 I think Daniel Pipes did well and I know that often after debates people think of all the things they should have said but I'll mention this anyway. Daniel Pipes should have jumped on Brian Becker's statement that just because one person in 36 years makes a hostile statement to Israel doesnt mean it's Irans policy. Iranian officials come out with vicious statements constantly there are mass rallies where the population shouts death to Israel, and death to America, the Iranians have said that the destruction of Israel is non-negotiable. Let Mr. Becker try and twist that.

Daniel Pipes replies: I could only dwell on one mistake my opponent makes and I submit that the one I choose - about the Islamic Republic of Iran not wanting to massacre Israelis - is more important than the one you are focused on.
