the new Jüdische Ghetto-Polizei

In the Warsaw Ghetto, under the authority of Adolf Eichamann and his Nazi overlords, Jewish police were placed in situ, ostensibly to keep and maintain order. These so-called Jüdische Ghetto-Polizei were also put to use in evacuating the ghetto in preparation for its inhabitants relocation to their new home, Auschwitz. In Auschwitz, the Jewish Kapos served the same role in the barracks and in the gas chambers, the Jewish Sonderkomando were forced, on threat of their own deaths, to aid with the disposal of gassed victims.

Now, today, in the heart of the modern Jewish state of Israel, a Jewish girl is arrested by Jewish police for the "crime" of insulting Islam. Personally, I struggle to discern a tangible difference in Jews so obviously behaving as abject dhimmis in their own capital city, vs those who, in 1943 served their Nazi overlords. Both Islamist and Nazi literature articulate the same wish to exterminate.

As Ms. Morris conveyed thru Dr. Pipes' article, ""For the entire 40 minute walk through the Old City to the Temple Mount, a group of Arab women followed us yelling Allah Akbar and Itbach al-Yahud [Kill the Jews in Arabic], as well as a number of curse words,". It was only after withstanding a protracted stream of such abuse did Ms. Morris dare to respond in kind — and for this she was promptly arrested by the 'new' Jüdische Ghetto-Polizei.

Am I the only one who sees a dangerous repetition of very bad history taking place? Where is our dignity, let alone our common sense? The Islamic claim to Jerusalem is far less robust than the Jewish claim to Mecca. The Jews didn't dream or imagine a presence in Mecca, as Muhammed did with Jerusalem. Jewish tribes actually inhabited the region for more than one thousand years. So this begs a rather pointed question. In allowing Islam to crush, curse and micturate upon everything Jews hold sacred, are we not becoming the kicked dog who blames itself for its master's cruelty?

So, then, at what point in time shall we cease our cringing and give back exactly what is given to us? As far as I am concerned, the greatest mistake in modern Jewish history was allowing Islam to retain a strong presence in Israel. In 1948, Islam and its adherents should have been ousted from the Jewish state, entirely. This would certainly have prevented the sort of idiotic, politically correct dhimmitude that Dr. Pipes reports upon in this article.
