PM Erdogan is the lone Islamist Spring rebel who pulled it off. Although he began as elected and democratic, his about-face to totalitarian rule is now complete. He is the only one to pull it off w/o civiil war. The military officers on trial were marked for purge.

US, with Obama, sits on its hands as usual. I would like to see another Reagan who could look at these for allies and not be afraid to snip the umbillical cord.

Things are sizing up for a Crusades Part II more than anythng else.

Erdogan's anti-Israel attitude spelled this future out years ago.

Hope Mr Pipes will be a lot more suspicious of the next Erdogan he meets.
