Lieberman would know how Russia would view itReader comment on item: Normalizing relations with Israel up to Erdogan Submitted by Anon. (Israel), Dec 28, 2015 at 13:05 If he says Russia will view it negatively, why assume that Russia won't mind? Moreover, Israel's goal of survival means that every tactical step has to be viewed with a wide-angle lense and with long-term thinking. Israel has to ask itself what it stands to lose with regards to Russia and what it realistically stands to gain when it comes to Turkey. The very fact that Turkey expresses its wish for Israel to back down on Gaza strongly suggests that Turkey hasn't turned over a new leaf and that Israel is indeed chasing after Turkey.
