Turkey announced that the deal with Israel is almost signed and that they've found a formula for having Israel compensate Turks for that evil Marmara.
All Iran needed to do was to flash a smile at Obama and Kerry and flutter its eyelashes and it turns out that's all Turkey needed to do with Israel for the latter to picture itself romping with Turkey in sunlit fields.

Why not just let Turkey stew in the mess Erdogan cooked and worry about gas? It was a massive headache for Turkey and now Israel is about to rescue Turkey from that mess and Israel will get nothing (diplomatically) in return.

It looks like Turkey is acting as though Israel needs the deal more than Turkey does (this is the same trick Iran pulled on America) and Israel seems to have fallen for it.
