Good times to be aliveReader comment on item: A Republican president will tear up Iran deal: US commentator Pipes Submitted by MIchael S (United States), Feb 22, 2016 at 05:47 Hi, Michael I agree, that "tearing up the deal" will have little effect on anything. What good is the deal, if four of the seven parties (the US, UK, France and Germany) are so weak and confused, they can't do anything if and when Iran decides to openly flaunt it. The Middle East seems headed on a course of intensifying chaos and destruction, which outside powers can have little effect on. The West, meanwhile, is becoming so embroiled with problems of its own that I doubt any of them will want to get involved anyway: They don't want to be in this mess, but can't get out of it. They have the migrant crisis, which is destroying the Schengen area and entangling NATO into situations it can't handle. I'm actually glad to be alive during these times, because we are about to witness the humbling of the "wise" and "mighty" of the earth: men in tuxedoes in Oslo, handing out Nobel prizes to people while women are getting raped outside, men are being knifed and children are getting hooked on drugs -- all of this, courtesy of people- and contraband- smuggling gangs from Afghanistan, Syria and Africa who are running rampant in a Europe that has broken down; and in the US, who knows? Anything can happen here; but one thing's for sure -- it won't work, despite plattitude-spouting politicians and a press that dishes out rose-colored glasses. This is the vanity of mankind, crashing into its iceberg; and I am glad to see it coming.
