Lewis never recognized islam's true natureReader comment on item: Bernard Lewis and Me Submitted by UNCLE VLADDI (Canada), May 31, 2016 at 15:57 While I can't claim to have met nor corresponded with the man, I, too, own most of Lewis's books. His organic, cultural approach to islam and the various peoples enslaved by it tended to be one of soft focus and, despite massive the wealth of evidence he absorbed, was overall one of immoral relativism - he never seemed to "get" that islam was really nothing more or less than the world's largest and oldest, ongoing cruel hoax, extortion racket and crime-syndicate, nor that the only "religious" quality of which was how it's holy mobster "muslim" crime gang members, exactly as it's founder had intended, used it to blame a "god" as their #1 alibi to excuse their own criminal desires and actions, by insisting that: "God told us to commit these crimes!"(CAPISCE?)!)
