Man plans, but God decides.Reader comment on item: What Was Binyamin Netanyahu Ready to Concede on the Golan Heights? Submitted by Michael S (United States), Sep 7, 2016 at 09:05 Hi, Rebecca I find the time stamp on your post to be incredible (fifty years to the month, of Israel's independence in, as your time stamp notes, 1948); and your comments right on the mark. It's easy to "Monday morning quarterback" (q.v.) political decisions. It's less easy, but far, far more practical, to accept those decisions and deal with the consequences. In all this, God has the final word, as the saying goes, "Man plans, but God decides". Israel is still in possession of the Golan, because of God's decision. The sooner all parties come to realize this, the better. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
