Submitted by Carax (Netherlands), Nov 27, 2016 at 07:41 I must agree with Mr. Pipes but not for most the reasons he states. First, American citizens never have a genuine choice of who they want for president. The choices are made long before they get to the ballot box. Secondly, Democrat or Republican, it makes no difference who's in the White House because those who are vetted to run are chosen by the "deep state" or whatever you want to call them. The political system, and the economy as well, is structured in such a way as to stop anything changing for the better for the ordinary citizen. This is what the EU is about too, which is also on a trajectory of becoming part of the globalist fascist system. As bad as America is at the moment, I still think it's the last country on earth where freedoms and possibilities still exist. So far at least.
