2001: Donald Trump & "Northern New Jersey Draws Probers' Eyes" By Serge F. Kovaleski and Fredrick KunkleReader comment on item: Trump's Middle East Policy Revealed? Submitted by Robert (United States), Jan 10, 2017 at 07:35 Dear Daniel Pipes, I wish to bring to your attention how the Liberal Media does in fact "lie" - certainly no less than anyone else in Politics or the Making of News. There was a story, after 9-11, that Muslim and/or Arabs in Jersey City celebrated on a roof top. Donald Trumps, to put it mildly, does not match the rhetorical skills of Barack Obama. So he can be excused for his lack of subtle distinctions (as I do). He was aware that there were Muslims (he does not use the arguably more precise word "Islamists") in Jersey City who celebrated the tragic event when the Twin Towers were destroyed by Arab Muslim Terrorists on September 11, 2001 (already 16 years ago). Here is the story to which Trump alluded to and which was allegedly backtracked by the journalist who subsequently went on to work for the New York Times. What is fascinating, and incredible here is how Trump's discourse on Islam is turned into a story of mocking a physically disabled reporter. Trump attack consists in mocking the mental intellectual dishonesty of the journalist, but by the coincidence of physical mocking in gestures, the attack turns into something completely different. The Republican discourse on Muslim Islamists is turned into the issue of mocking a disabled individual by the Identity Super-conscious Democrats and Liberals. Since Chris Christie of New Jersey was a major party to Trump's campaign, it would have been interesting to catch his take regarding the Arab and Muslim community in Jersey City, New Jersey. One thing for sure ... President Trump will not shy away from confronting Islamism, or Islam, in his tenure, in spite of the fact that the Democrats and Liberal Media, and actors like Meryl Streep, will continue to twist things into an issue like Insensitivity to the handicapped.
