Will President Trump give away the store? I'm beginning to think he might.Reader comment on item: What Should the New U.S. Policy Be toward the Middle East? Submitted by Michael S, Jan 23, 2017 at 23:17 All three of you gave interesting comments -- so much so, that I downloaded the YouTube link for further listening. If I have room here, I will touch on some of the minor points discussed. Meanwhile, a far more important issue has come up: "Today [23 Jan. 2017, White House Press Secretary Sean] Spicer told reporters "there's no decisions" on relocating the embassy as "'we're at the very early stages of that decision-making process... and his team's going to continue to consult with stakeholders as we get there.' "Pressed on whether the move would happen in Trump's four-year term, Spicer reiterated that NO DECISION HAS BEEN MADE." -- https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/2017/01/23/trump-deciding-whether-or-not-to-move-embassy-to-jerusalem/ Needless to say, either this is a major policy reversal on the part of the President, or Spicer is REALLY out of the loop. Did Mr. Trump, when only "President Elect", promise to move the embassy to Jerusalem, or not? Certainly, the details require some time to work out; but this is not about details: This is about whether or not Mr. Trump will keep his word, in what will certainly be the most important national policy issue he will have to face. Everything else hangs on it: If Trump backs down, or even waivers, then he will have been defeated by the nobody, Yasser Arafat; and every true world leader will rise up and take notice that Trump is just another Obama, with red hair. I hope Spicer was just being incompetent, and Trump as well. If not, Daniel, you can count me as in your camp of those who do not believe Donald Trump is a man of integrity. Concerning the minor issues of Iran, Turkey, Islamism, etc., my only comment is "Who cares?" If even Donald Trump cannot be trusted to support Israel, then Israel has no friend but God.
