Burka news both stupid and wrongReader comment on item: A Niqab and Burqa Miscellany Submitted by Prashant (United States), Feb 26, 2017 at 04:19 Dear Dr Pipes, I do not know whether I should be angry or cry on this news because it simultaneously shows Islamic selfishness and Islamic stupidity. We all know that when democratic societies offer rights and welfares, Muslims are the first ones to grab them and demand even more. But, even more importantly, they take these privileges thanklessly and on their terms. A similar situation occurred in India. Indian Prime Minister recently launched a low-cost housing scheme for poorer sections of the society. Some Muslim women also qualified. That is well and good. What is bothersome though is that when the time came to take their pictures for their ids, these women refused to be photographed without their Burkas. These nice citizens of our planet are willing to take a subsidy from a kafir democratic government but are not willing to compromise even as little as being identified properly! That should make you angry but what would make you cry? The stupidity that followed would serve that purpose. Times of India (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/dehradun/placards-identify-burqa-clad-for-govt-scheme/articleshow/57349505.cms?) reports that when the officials failed to convince these women to get their pictures taken without burka, they had to come up with a even stupider solution. The officials handed each woman a placard with her name written on the placard and then they photographed the woman in burka with the placard facing the camera. Now, go figure: it is like a mug-shot with no mug! Laugh, fume or cry. Islamic stubbornness around the world is taking unprecedented proportions and it makes sensible people do idiotic things.
