Why do the mistakes like Green's happen?Reader comment on item: Nine Errors in Three Pages Submitted by Prashant (United States), Feb 26, 2017 at 12:22 Dear Dr Pipes, In your blog about errors in Todd H. Green's writings you wondered why do such mistakes happen. The reasons that you mentioned are absolutely true but there may be one more reason: lack of scrutiny. If you do some research about Professor Green, you will find that he has at least two books, several academic papers, and tens of articles and media appearances to his credit. I contend that these days if you want to get published the easiest way is to just start blowing the liberal islamist trumpet. You will sound progressive. You will pass as an intellectual. You will make friends all over. And you will be called modern. And no one will scrutinize you (and so the burden on you to be right will reduce). Professor Green is one of those hundreds of false intellectuals who judge the West by the western standards and judge Islam by Islamic standards and live in glory, comfort and riches for ever.
