Self destructive Israeli policiesReader comment on item: What If: Fifty Years After the Six-Day War Submitted by Schvach, Jun 7, 2017 at 14:10 The Israeli quagmire has been generated by both a distraction to philosophize about all it's policies with regard to the management of the Palestinian Moslem populations that are seated in the lands that now comprise the Jewish State, as well as a self-imposed need to avoid falling victim to its own propaganda about the atrocities that have plagued the Jewish people for the past 1700 years. The iron fist approach is the only real strategy that can win a war (eg, World War 2). The intransigent conquered populations (perhaps most of which didn't exist prior to the invention of the PLO in 1964) needs to be managed elsewhere and by some government other than Israel. The Palestinian State of Jordan, currently occupied by the Hashemiite royal family, immediately springs to mind. It is the Jewish population of Israel, ie the Jewish State, that has paid so dearly, and so continues, for this royal indulgence created by the United Kingdom.
