IT'S ISLAM, STUPID!Reader comment on item: Qatar: A Powder Keg Waiting to Explode? Submitted by JIMJFOX (United States), Jul 12, 2017 at 08:46 For all the expertise, qualifications & pontificating, the issue is as straightforward as it was 14 centuries ago. The Arab/ Islamic mindset is simply the opposite of the 'liberal' post-reformation western one. Muhammad of Medina modified his ingenious "religion" ... to instill the virtues of supremacy, violence and death in his followers, with jihad it's most important factor. Therefore, most muslims genuinely believe themselves 'the best of peoples created' and the kufar 'the vilest of animals'. Conquest of Earth and subjugation to Islam is therefore in no way unreasonable, to this mindset- it is in fact essential & fully justified. That the greatest western minds fail to grasp this way of thinking is astonishing- after all it is right there in all Islamic texts, proudly proclaimed. Forget all the sects, tribal rivalries, varying 'interpretations'- IT'S ISLAM, STUPID! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
