Once again Dr. Pipes is right on target.

Just before reading "Palestinian Rejectionism is Weakening", I chanced upon "The End of This Road:The Decline of The Palestinian National Movement" by Hussein Agha and Ahmad Samih Khalidi, appearing in the Aug. 6th edition of The New Yorker Magazine. Though completely whitewashing Palestinian history since Arafat (to be expected in this (progressive magazine), this article reinforces and complements Dr. Pipes' piece. Time appears to be on Israel's side.

The conclusion is Palestinians are entering a paradigm shift to their existence. Palestinian nationalism is dissipating; the future remains uncertain and unknown. The choice is theirs: rational self-interest or madness leading to violence and chaos.
