Anniversary of September 11Reader comment on item: One Year Later: Militant Islam Submitted by Mel Aranoff (United States), Sep 12, 2002 at 16:04 A question arises regarding the anniversary of the attacks, in light of people having been nervous that the terrorists would strike again on that date:1. Do terrorists care about such things as anniversaries? 2. Wouldn't they be less likely to strike on dates when we expect them to do so? 3. Assuming that they care about dates, wouldn't they be more focused on the Islamic calendar? My checking of the Islamic dates, for conversion to the secular calendar, shows that 9/11/01 would have an anniversary on either 10/29 or 10/30 of this year.
