One Step FowardReader comment on item: The Middle East Forum at 25 Submitted by Aizic Sechter (Israel), Apr 5, 2019 at 11:06 First want to praise President Daniel Pipes and the Middle East Forum for their Israeli positive stand, more power to you. But as an Octogenarian Israeli who fought in most of the wars that were forced upon Israel in the 20th century, I feel that all those wars ended with Israel being victorious but without a true victory.. They always ended. with a cease-fire and or armistice agreement. Which have never really brought an end to conflicts. I believe to avoid future conflicts, and if they can not be avoided, to use "reverse engineering," before the conflict breaks out. To warn our enemies/adversaries before the war/conflict breaks out: We will only end the war/conflict: 1) "With your UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER." 2) We will demand from you according to UN resolution, "FULL COMPENSATION FOR ALL COSTS INCURRED TO US" before and due to the war/conflict. If these demands were good enough for President Harry S Truman in 1945 to end WWII both with Germany and Japan then this should be good enough for Israel now in the 21st century. Would appreciate your comments on these proposals.Thank you in advance and all the best, Aizic Sechter Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
