War or a Reasonable Facsimile of Such is Coming

Reader comment on item: Is Iran on the verge of war with the U.S.?

Submitted by Barry Black (United States), Jul 1, 2019 at 10:38

It's quite obvious that Iran, Syria, and Russia are aiming to out-maneuver Israel through a modified pincher strategy using Hezbollah, Hamas, and Syria as staging grounds for advanced weaponry hoping to force Israel to eventually make unwanted concessions. Israel conducts periodic missile attacks to slow the process, but it is inevitable that Israel will have to take decisive action at some point. There are two confounding factors; Russia and the USA. First, will Russia permit Iran to continue arming to a point of no return or eventually place a muzzle on Iran. And second, can Israel trust the USA to have its back?
