What does victory mean?

Reader comment on item: The Need for Israel Victory

Submitted by Pete Cohon (Israel), Jul 17, 2019 at 21:37

I agree with you that Israel must achieve victory but how do you define victory? If we re-invade and occupy Gaza again with a never ending insurrection to deal with, is that victory? If we push all of the Gazans into Egypt, thus destroying our peace treaty with Egypt, is that victory? If we push all of the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria into Jordan, thus destroying our peace treaty with Jordan, is that victory? What exactly does victory look like? There's no point is pushing for victory if you can't answer this question. And please be assured that I am not asking to give you a hard time but because I think that Israeli victory, which I as an Israeli greatly desire, is impossible if we don't know what it means. Please respond.
