What you just called 'being a choir-boy'

Reader comment on item: Israel's Arab Vote, Secular Versus Orthodox and Recognizing Palestine

Submitted by Anon. (Israel), Oct 3, 2019 at 12:13

This is the normal give and take of relationships, and diplomatic ones are no exception.
You can't only ask favours of people and then refuse to respond in kind, nor should you be called a choir-boy for that.
As an aside, the Democrats ought not insist on such people visiting Israel.
Nor do I believe for one moment that any of these people who are entirely driven by their own brand of identity politics would come to speak well of Israel or modify their views even somewhat following a visit to Israel. What few supporters they have are motivated by a love of the Arabs/Muslims and a corresponding hatred of Israel.
