Islam plays the long gameReader comment on item: Erdoğan Invaded; What's Next in Syria? Submitted by Charles Martel (United States), Oct 19, 2019 at 01:25 I see only two paths to the preservation of Western civilization. First, our education system must be stripped of influence by those pedaling soft-serve Islam. Second, our youth must be taught to discern the precious, rare and fragile basis under which the United States was founded. Absent those two foundational constructs we will lose sight of our birthright and get lost in the weeds that constantly spring up from the multiplicitous faces of Islam. ISIS, Hezbollah, Hamas, al Shabab, and so forth. Let us not delude ourselves. Islam possesses many tentacles, all containing venom. Each is based upon a 7th Century, barbaric ethos which is to 21st Century Western civilization as oil is to water. Therefore, and to underline the crucial urgency of inoculating our youth with the meaning of American exceptionalism, how can we stand against something as erosive as Islam without a full comprehension of who we are and what makes us unique.
