4 million Egyptians have "left" Islam as per a professor at al-Azhar University!

Dr. Pipes,

I came across this interesting video of Professor Amna Nusair of al-Azhar University where she claims that 4 million Egyptians have "left" (read this as apostatized) Islam!

What does this mean? I cannot draw any conclusions because the so called "scholars" at al-Azhar university are not trained in critical thinking. So the claim could be true or the good professor is making things up.
