Damascus has been identified as a place of historic proportions; yet another example of its being the vortex of dynamic implications as the mufti of Damascus, a man of peace by certain references, has paid the price of standing for peace in a place that represents a totally differing apprehension of life in a region that is still smoldering from the processes of extermination.
