Silent Intimations of the Balfour Declaration?Reader comment on item: British Military Intelligence in the Palestine Campaign, 1914-1918 Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Apr 8, 2021 at 13:17 For this observer, missing this review from over twenty years ago begs the question, how much else had been reviewed and dismissed for the lack of not being the message that the perpetrators of the anti-Zionist ideologies wanted the world to share? It is quite obvious that dependent upon one's perspective, whether Zionist, (this reader tends towards that), anti-Zionist, Jewish (whether conservative, Orthodox, Pharisee, Sadducee, leftist, secularist), Goyim, the issues of Israel's survival had/has been contentious and the overriding influence the British/French had in making such determinations of the Jewish Nation's existence is something very few realize was always in support of the State of Israel, whether anyone was really in support or not. What is yet to be realized by many is that Israel is not meant to be a democracy, fifth elections notwithstanding. What did Allenby think about that when wresting the area from the Ottomans? What does Erdoğan think he can do to change the course of that? Was that/is that even considered in the book? How about current estimations? Anyone?
