Waiting Out the Millennia for Israel Victory
One of the more enlightening aspects of Dr. Pipes' contention that the only way to Middle East peace is though Israeli victory, is that while this observer agrees this is the most desirable objective to be sought after, very few are actually convinced, even many where one would think there was a consensus within the Israeli government. Much of the issues surrounding the governmental scene of not being able to form a government stems from the perception that not all are convinced of a unified approach to Israel security, let alone sovereignty.
The issues are myriad; elements within the Israeli democratic processes are as divergent as there are party alliances and incompatible goals and agendas, including enemies of the realm hiding their wolfpack antipathies behind the sheepskins of deceptive dialogues. Dr. Pipes has broached these issues at one time or another, but a cohesive understanding seems difficult for some to come to terms as to why they are not likely to have shared senses of solidarity in keeping Israel whole and safe.
The victory is coming; but not all are agreement at to what it will look like nor what is be sacrificed to make it happen.
