large groups of foreignersReader comment on item: A Madrassah in Bridgeview, Illinois Submitted by TAP (United States), Oct 7, 2005 at 00:25 I believe that d. m. o'neill's post from 6/20/2005 has the correct focus... I don't care to waste my life trying to "negotiate" with these types of people about what America is or should be. I do not want to change anything about this country to help these people assimilate.Assimilation means that they become one of us, not us changing something to suit them. Becoming one of us is more than simply speaking English and voting in elections. It also means tolerating other religions, practising limited government (i. e. not advocating that the government pay for your health care, education, housing. (Latin Americans) these are things that one works to pay for oneself. Or, not advocating that the government change its policies toward Israel (Muslims) one of the more decent nations on this planet and one of America's better allies). It means also helping society find criminal law breakers. For Muslims who are afraid to tell authorities who the radical Muslims are: Peace and security come at a price whether dealing with a foreign country or with the misbehaving element of our own society. That price is personal risk in the short run. America is about a certain cultural whose law and politics are structured to get this culture. America is not what the current numerical majority say it is. These immigrant groups have the birth rates to one day control this country. I have seen what Latin America and Muslim countries are and I have no desire for any of it. ...This nation is not to be a "boarding house" for other peoples to escape their bad countries... They do not strengthen this nation. We already had enough people to do agricultural work but their desire to work was destroyed by welfare. We already have the industrial, technical and scientific capacity without these large groups of immigrants. . .. One day if Muslim numbers increase they will feel their numbers and start agitating in the streets for the rescinding of laws that are contrary to the will of Allah. If America does not act quick, it will face a situation of giving up the country to foreigners or fighting a civil war to remove them ... God help us.
