Islam Cannot Shake Its Past Nor Does It tryReader comment on item: The Prophet's Heir Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Jun 3, 2021 at 23:30 Let Dr. Pipes observations, in companion with his other studies and commentaries, make the point: is Islam ready to break away into a compatible relationship with Europeans and the rest of the west (we'll look at China later), or does ummah still hold the golden dream of dominion and conquest of the ages and that will never be let go? That remains to be seen; but the evidence suggests that they can never consolidate the power without compromise. Secularistic infusions of political interventions are always looking to interfere. As for the potential of China being an actor in the region, the Tanakh has that answer as well that the Quran cannot refute; and it' not good. Just ask the Uighurs.
