Perceptions of Academia Either Bear Out Truth or Try to Hide It for Ignorance of It

One of the signs, indeed, a badge of honor, of one's effectiveness in making observations of an intellectual sort, such as Dr. Pipes does here and in the area and arena of informed presentations of truth (like he presents in his forum) in a world that looks at truth with either a shaded perspective, or; after staring at truth until blinded by it, then guessing in misguided pretense what the burned brain nerve thought that it saw, but in reality never had a chance to understand that staring at it blindly does not for a moment allow for an interpretation. Truth and its application in life requires studying the shadows it leaves and correctly understanding the direction it points to.
Labelling without understanding is the long defined stance that many who think theirs is the only opinion that counts (the affliction of American and other political directives and abjectly blinded punditry); woe to the casual observer of lives not lived in truth that seek to impose faux knowledge of immensely humanistic deceptions in order to make a false sense of where life should lead; and yet, forget where life came from.
In reading the obviously uninformed assessment of the tweet attempting to cast Dr. Pipes' value of his lifetime study of things Oriental in an Occidental framework as incidental and potentially vapid, the tweeter merely exposed his/her own inexplicable emptiness of rational thought in an exchange for trying to make themselves feel better for their own inability to arrive at the truth being sought. While Dr. Pipes may not appear to some (Many are his detractors; even as the Dr. may not be respected by many), his body of work demonstrates a better than most understanding of the topic and where truth is touched, this is imperative.
