Islamic culture is much more racist, fascist and imperialist

The attitudes of many immigrants from Islamic countries towards gays, other religions and women is so right-wing as to be out of the mainstream of western acceptability. Countries like Turkey and Iran, and to an extent Saudi Arabia and Syria as well as others have many fascistic characteristics, such as extreme nationalism, as in Turkey, political repression, militarism, widespread Jew hatred, the killing of gays and apostates, suppression of women and the use of violence to advance narrow sectarian goals, as in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Libya. Meanwhile, jihadist groups like Boko Haram in northern Nigeria and elsewhere throughout Africa are murdering Christians and other non-Muslims daily, where black lives must not matter very much.
Islam itself was fashioned to accommodate the needs of the Arab empire, one of the world's most ruthless imperial projects, whence the concept of dhimmitude, protection money (jizya) and jihad, but it'll be a cold day in Hell before the NYTimes discusses that honestly.
The lack of acknowledgement of all this by the Left shows that they are either covertly sympathetic with these obnoxious traits, are ideological prisoners of their own quasi-religious mindset, or they have given up fact-checking in favor of belly-button gazing. Either way, it's very disconcerting and is symptomatic of cultural decline.
