Latent Recriminations for Empire Influences Imposed a Century Ago

In reading the posted interrogation with Dr. Pipes under the lights for his defense of Israel coming from the bastion of Britannia ruling the waves to waving the post empire era of questioning why settling the Middle East quandary is no better more than a hundred years later; now why is that again?
The key exchange for this observer was how the interrogator did not cease refering to the critics of the Dr.'s efforts as being undermined and apparently diffident in doing so, giving the further appearance that the Dr.'s postion did not warrant a credible respect of this efforts; that Dr. Pipes was perceived as insufficient to the task of defending Israel's sovereignty since they are not all that confident such a position was tenable, given the ostensibly British sensibilities.
The Dr.'s answers did, however, give cause for this reader to wonder that when he retires, does the Dr.'s legacy have sufficient probable cause to continue the efforts of defending Israel's legacy until the Proptector decides He's ready to pull down the ambitions of empire that seek Israel's demise and settle the final score.
