You're January 7, 2020, update I did see.

Dear Dr. Daniel Pipes,

I remember Trump's, and I was pleased that you updated your article.

However, I was disappointed that you did not give any kind words towards your dis-likable Trump.
You give the man no slack - but why?

He waited until the last moment - which was January 6, 2020, when both houses of Congress certified the election results. And the very next day, January 7, 2020, he conceded that he lost, and announced an orderly transition of power.

So what is the problem? The election was "stolen." But the theft did not occur during the election, it was a 4 year conspiracy against Trump, and the failure to re-elect him was one consequence.

Now look what our Democratic led Congress is doing not? It is still investigation the mob event of January 6, 2020. But the simple fact is that Democratic Washington, D. C., under the ultimate leadership of Nancy Pelosi did not have adequate Policing at the Capital. But Sergeant-at-Arms of Congress resigned for their failures to protect the House and Senate. This was their duty - to protect the Capital grounds of Congress.

But "De-fund the Police" and Black "Lives Matter" of the Left Wing Democrats did not see the need for Policing. For them, the Police, not Rioters, was the Problem.

Any Police Department in the USA knows about Crowd Control. When it comes to Crowds, there is no difference if it's Democratic or Republican - there is always a danger of Death as a mere consequence of Numbers.

Trump is and was a Law and Order advocate, who loves our American servicemen (and women) in Uniform; that was clear throughout his 4 year tenure in office as President. It is Ironic that the Democrats are now still looking into his words and language to blame the forceful brake-in through the barricades and windows. These are the same Democrats who believe in Freedom of Speech. "Inciting" has been scrutinized by layers for generations. Yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater is obviously illegal. However, a 1 mile march of a huge political crowd towards the Capitol grounds merely requires an adequate number of police - but there was none. And that was the consequence of demonizing the police during Trump's 4 years tenure.
