Recommended reading for Abdul (quran 4-24)

Dear Dr Pipes, reader Abdul told us how great Islam was because it recommended that soldiers should not kill women. Thanks, Abdul, that is very kind. Now read quran 4:24 and many related verses and Hadith. You should not kill a woman but you can rape her. That is a very nice advice. Now please apologize and explain it away.
