In the final analysis, there will be no ability to define Islam as anything more than what its appearance in the world paradigm was original intended for: replacing the Gospel message of the Jewish Savior and the unfortunate ancillary enmity all the other religious pursuits that have been encountered in history and other societal developments spanning centuries and epochs in mankinds' existence and perceptions of life.
To be exact in that assumption, Islam has made sure of tis legacy by its terminal pusuits in history where replacement theology was not practiced as a philosphical pursuit that argued superiority, but actions spoke louder than words and losing an argument meant more than walking away with hurt feelings.
What is determinable here is that more than life itself, its theoretical basis for human existence is dependent upon the presumed 'greater power' of supernatural cause and effect and the various arguments written in the Quran by its various authors sought that superiority for reasons of not acknowledging the facts of a truth that is antecedent and filled with various proofs of a far superior existence and personality that can ever be expressed in the human terms as found in Islam; and Islamic apologetics know this, but after fourteen hundred years are trying, still feel the need to try. Whether Edward Said, or any of the less than convincing current authors; humanity is depicted as the global victim of a philosophy that seeks in its own attempts of validation that the world would be better off just accepting this ancent premise and allow the decimation of an unbelieving mankind instead of going back to the truth, where the true Savior of the world expressed a love of a Sovereign Almighty that put His will on the line to bring salvation for those who would believe in that kingdom and share that love for eternity.
