Khoj-Ahmed NoukhaevReader comment on item: [Turkey-Israel and] The Real "New Middle East" Submitted by Mark Sedgwick (Egypt), Dec 13, 2005 at 03:01 > 'a leading Chechen figure, Khoj-Ahmed Noukhaev, has asserted that his sympathies are "with the small Jewish nation" against the Arabs'This isn't necessarily a function of 'the ancient logic of "my enemy's enemy is my friend."' Noukhaev is a Traditionalist, a reader of the early C20 French philosopher Rene Guenon, and a sympathizer of Alexander Dugin's Eurasianist movement (see www.arctogaia.com and many other websires). Dugin's movement aims (among other things) at an alliance of traditional forces against modernity. Dugin's traditional forces include an Israeli movement, the International Hyperzionist Movement "Bead Artseinu" ("For Motherland") (see www.zarodinu.org). They also include, potentially, the entire Muslim world. The downside is that--in Dugin's estimation--America is the home of modernity, and so is very much on the other (wrong) side. For more on Traditionalism, see my www.traditionalists.org. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
