Danish CartoonsReader comment on item: Pretending Not to Profile Muslims Submitted by Fred Strauss (Israel), Feb 1, 2006 at 14:34 We are all now witnesses to the hysteria of Muslims all over the world in response to the publishing of cartoons of Muhammad in a Danish newspaper. This, of course, mirrors many of the ideas that Daniel has mentioned, especially the Muslim demand for preferential treatment in the world.I am sorry that Jyllands-Posten buckled under the pressure and issued apologies, but given the scope of the reaction and the economic damage inflicted on Denmark, I suppose they had no real choice. So far, the Danish government is taking it on the chin and is refusing to kowtow. As usual, the rest of the world is skulking off in their corners keeping their heads low. A bright light issues, from all places, France and their newspaper France Soir that chose to publish the same cartoons. What we really need right now is for ALL THE NEWSPAPERS in the free, Western world to run those cartoons as one great Bronx cheer and let all Muslims know what we think of their preferential treatment!
