Reader comment on item: The Treaty of Hudaybiya as a Model for Muslims

2-3 years ago I saw Arafat mention this treaty in a video. I so schocked and cannot figure out why it didn't make more of a stink back then. Do you go along with the statments made by our President and others that Islam is a peaceful religion? I don't. I see Islam as a false teaching. I love President Bush and agree with many decisions that he has made, but I don't see how ignoring the root of the problem helps. Now we have Iran making threats against us and I see this whole nuclear negotiating as a Treaty of Hudaybiya. They are focused on one thing destroy zion and kill the infidels. What is your take on Iran?
