Moderate Peaceful MuslimsReader comment on item: The Treaty of Hudaybiya as a Model for Muslims Submitted by Keith (United States), Mar 20, 2006 at 21:38 2-3 years ago I saw Arafat mention this treaty in a video. I so schocked and cannot figure out why it didn't make more of a stink back then. Do you go along with the statments made by our President and others that Islam is a peaceful religion? I don't. I see Islam as a false teaching. I love President Bush and agree with many decisions that he has made, but I don't see how ignoring the root of the problem helps. Now we have Iran making threats against us and I see this whole nuclear negotiating as a Treaty of Hudaybiya. They are focused on one thing destroy zion and kill the infidels. What is your take on Iran?Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
