Simple Good SenseReader comment on item: FBI Agent in Orange Country Lets Slip the Truth Submitted by aridog (United States), Jun 16, 2006 at 06:43 Pat Rose is to be commended for saying these things publically. Her remark about racial profiling is very good. There are people who will cloak their origins or their beliefs in radical Jihad any number of ways, and to concentrate only on physical profiles would only provide them with even better cover, hiding in plain sight if you will. Looking at University environments is also difficult, becasue quite often the enablers are part of the University, who encourage the young mind in singular directions, many times based upon fraud not history. The enablers can look like ma and pa kettle, but with post graduate degrees. It is quite true that violent radicals can live right next door and look just like you, on a campus or in a community. I am as "Anglo" secular as you can get, but I live a predominantly Arab Muslim community. I like it here, everything is new and close and fresh. We certainly don't appear to have religious police or night riders terrorizing the locals. My neighborhood is frequently pointed at as some kind of hot seat for Jihad. Some noted commentators are rather shrill about it. All they are doing is making it easier for the real trouble makers to blend in elsewhere without notice. Exampe: Penlight laser pointers allegedly aimed at aircraft cockpits by my neighborhood members, usually cited because it is a Muslim area. Some kind of laser pointers ARE being so used, by someone. Aircraft fly over my area at 2000 feet plus on approach to the airport. I will pay the round trip flight and hotel bill for anyone who can aim and get a penlight laser pointer in to a cokcpit window from here. The I will drive them to a western suburb, notably Anglo white Christian, much closer to the airport, where the cock pit windows are actually visable on approach. If some one is doing this, and they are, that is where they are hiding, in plain sight, radical perhaps, but looking just like Billy Bob the patriot. Concentrating on a neighborhood just because it has Mosques isn't not going to find the individuals learning to track aircarft with lasers. Especially those with penlight batteries and short range. The easy comfortable choice is not necessarily the right one, and in fact may cloak the real problems. Espionage and sabotage have ever been so. If you have a house or apartment with no furnishings and a half dozen computers, it is a concern, perhaps just a Spammer, but maybe worse. You'll never know if you look only for Hajib customs and darker skin. The 9/11 attackers took flying lessons from cracker white schools, and not one thought it dangerously odd that some didn't ask for landing and take off instructoins? What possible normal use for flying skills could there be without those requred to take off and land? Some times we see the enemy every day, and it may be among us, not just Them.
