Mis-representationReader comment on item: Downing Street's Favorite – The Muslim Council of Britain Submitted by David Wallow (United Kingdom), Jul 7, 2006 at 10:03 As a British citizen I feel the pampering to the whims of the MCB and the Islamic community in the nation is done out of fear and not out of a genuine desire to represent the Islamic community. The Muslims make up only 3% of our population and the attention they seek and special treatment the demand is out of all importance to their standing in Britian today. Also recont polls have clearly shown the Muslim community has no intention of intergrating or condeming terrorism out right without the usual muslim provisos. The Chinese and afro-carribean communities are much older, more intergrated yrt do not demand special treatment, that is why they are considered as British as anyone else. Muslim refuse to be British but remain first and foremost Islamists. The MCB has more influence than it merits and attracts more attention than it deserves.
