The reason would be that they do not want Iran and its satellites Syria, a possibly Nasrallah-dominated Lebanon, and Shiite majority Iraq to be dominant. However, since we are, with Israel, the Great and Little Satans, we should recall that we are the targets of the whole Islamic group when they are not worried about each other.

I keep thinking that Pres. Bush's apparent plan is to have a globalized world of trade and more or less amicable relations around the world, but the question is whether Islam trumps democracy.
