Dutch Media LiesReader comment on item: A Spy Myth is Born Submitted by Daniel Teeboom (Netherlands), May 29, 2002 at 06:01 I found the exact same article in various Dutch newspapers who accepted the Le Monde article as sufficient proof for this story. There have been more events of this kind with stories ranging from Israeli soldiers broadcasting pornography from captured Palestinian TV stations to cooperation between organised crime and the Israeli Mossad. In the case of the Mossad story, it was claimed that the Dutch and American police had bought radio equipment that was bugged by the Mossad. The information was passed on to various criminal organisations. Now I send angry letters by e-mail to these newspapers and to the Israeli ambassy. I also contacted various Jewish organisations. From the newspapers I never heard anything and as far as I know nothing much happened. Doesn't every country have a kind of media controle organisation? I mean you, can't just publish everyting you want, can you? If a journalist lies, and is caught, is there no board of ethics, or something, that takes action? It's offensive and I'd like to know what the possibilities are beyond just writing the next angry e-mail that nobody reads. oh well.
