A blown opportunity to strike a blow for freedom and justice

The parents of murdered Angelo Frammartino were given a rare opportunity to make a statement that would resound around the world enobling the meaningless death of their son. Had they seen through the veiled attempt at sympathy by the Arab Media and the insincere request for forgiveness asked by the mother of the murderer, they might have rejected the phony apologies and media dog-and-pony shows by saying the following:

"If it were an Israeli that your son had killed, you would be dancing for joy and the media would be calling him as a hero. No one has the right to take the life of another solely because of his nationality and no one should ever glorify what is simply cold-blooded murder. This senseless, unprovoked act of aggression is damnable, not laudable. If my son were an Israeli, I would weep no less for him than I do now."

Oh my. How that would have played out in the Arab world.

Instead, the parents appear to be as morally corrupt as their son, not knowing the difference between good and evil.
