Chronological Order of the QuranReader comment on item: [Al-Hudaybiya and] Lessons from the Prophet Muhammad's Diplomacy Submitted by Paul (United States), Sep 3, 2006 at 21:30 Unfortunately, the Saudis will not permit any printing other than the official order. They are the "Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Complex For The Printing of the Holy Qur-an." You might get some help from Robert Spencer's "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades," Regnery Publishing 2005. He discusses the Quran at length. Also, the chronological order of the Suras is given in a footnote on page 75 of "The Sword of the Prophet," by Serge Trifkovic, Regina Orthodox Press, 2002. He groups them in (a) the First Period in Mecca (48); (b) Middle period in Mecca (21); (c) the latter period in Mecca (21); and (d) The period in Medina (24). Hope this helps.
