StrengthReader comment on item: [Left & Right on Communism & Islamism:] Same Difference Submitted by Maureen Toal (United States), Sep 11, 2006 at 17:53 America and its people have always stood for justice, freedom and above all strength. We have shown the strength of our convictions in each and every struggle we have been involved in. Where we allowed the left to dictate the terms of a struggle,we have come away as weak. That was in Viet Nam. We left and allowed a million people to be slaughtered. If, as a Nation, we fail to show the Islamists our strength, at every turn, then we will indeed be defeated. You cannot reason with terrorists. You cannot have a consensus of opinion with extremist. They need to fear that we will use every weapon at our vast disposal against them to protect our country, our people and our way of life. I fear that they already know that we will not do this. If we have this vast arsenal of weapons and the enemy knows that we will never use them, then they ,are for all intents and pruposes, useless. Thank you for your fine article.
