Islam's Special StatusReader comment on item: Think like a Muslim[, Urges "Across the Centuries"] Submitted by Kashmiri Pandit (United States), Jan 16, 2003 at 23:35 Islam has enjoyed special status in India where the majority are Hindus.Hindu Mandirs are taxed while Mosques are sanctioned by the governmnent. Taxpayers' money is used so any Muslim in India is funded to take a pilgrimage to Mecca. The Muslims are also given a special constitution separate from the other non-Muslim Indians that allow elements of their Sharia law to be practiced inside a Democratic country. They are also given special positions in Parliament and are able to get into schools over Hindus through the countries Affirmitive Action programs. And despite this, they are all still very much anti-India and anti-Hindu and are doing their best to dismantle the government and defame Hindus. Islamic terror is the everyday reality in India.
